My Geng, My Friends, those who makes me happy....

In life we need friends. Well, I do...These are the friends that I have made throughout my life and they are the one who have been there for me think and thin...

My MRSM Geng

These are my friends from my life in MRSM Beseri. Till now we still hangout together. With them I can be like a teenager :). They are the ones who accept me as who I am. They truly understands my outspoken character without having any grudges.

Elia, my excubemate, we just can't stand pretenders....
Hajjah Emy, now a certified diver, how I envy you...
Pnutt, my OCD mate...
Iza, my idol of beauty tips...
Hajjah Eynaa, how do you maintain that figure with 4 kids...
Anis, the strongest gal I ever known...
Ellie, minah vogue yg pandai buat kek cantik-cantik till I don't dare to eat it....
Imah, kecik molek tapi power....

You gals rock! I can share whatever secret I have with them and no matter how dark the secret, they will never judge me. You guys, I love you all so much!

My Bikers geng

Ini geng dipanggil GBB... Geng Bawak Bini... hahahaha... more like Bini yang asyik nak ikut...This geng pun rock! I met them from a trip, well, our first biking trip to Thailand. At that time we were using the Orange BlackBird. We went to Koh Lipe and we somehow just clicked from the beginning...
Team members are (semua bukan nama sebenar!):
- B and Laling
- Pakcu and Wancu
- Ayang and Azura
- Tasya and Lala
- Ruby and Zamrud
- Imam and Wife

Also in my bikerz geng would be my cousins, Jering, Dino n Johan... hehehehe the clans of Pakngah Laksa!

Setakat ni, we all got chemistry and I do hope this chemistry will last forever. Been into other geng in particular geng kereta lain, but after a while we broke apart. So, GBB, let's make this a long lasting relationship ya....

My Geng SM/Geng Ngaji

These are my neighbours actually, who are also in Roohii's geng mengaji.  Rumah kami jadi port untuk belajar mengaji 2 kali seminggu.  Alhamdulilah, they all dah naik Quran dah la ni.  Ini geng jugak kami clicked from beginning and we have organized various family trips thoughout Malaysia.  One good thing about this group, membersnya tidak berkira dan sangat bermurah hati.  Segala pemberian saya ucapkan ribuan terima kasih.  Semoga Allah memberkati kalian semua....

My office geng

Haaaaa ini geng lunch saya... yg kiri sekali my boss, dan dia jarang ada kat ofis so jarang lunch dgn kami.  Kanan saya Azwin, kiri saya Kak Bib... kami selalu makan bertiga...  Selalunya kami makan kat Tesco, tapi kekadang kat Restoren Cherry Bawah Jambatan Penchala Link kat Kg Penchala... situ sedaaaaappp, banyak lauk.  Tapi banyak lauk pun tiap kali ke sana pasti makan ikan patin masak tempoyak... hahahaha

My VOCM geng

Ini time Roohii main Volvo hari tu.  Geng ni best gak cuma sekarang ni cam dah berpecah la... As I said earlier, some group are just not meant to be.  However, I had fun during the good old days...  I am still in touch and in good terms with some of them though...

Friends, we do need them....  I treasure my friends, and I hope they do the same for me...

My Riding Experience: Trip to Melaka 11th March 2011

Last Sunday kami pegi ride ke Melaka. Ada kenduri kahwin anak sedara kawan bikers Roohii. At first I thought just nak pegi ride jalan-jalan cari makan, rupanya nak pegi kenduri kahwin. First time langgar etika attire ke kenduri kahwin.

Nak baca kisah journey kami? Haaaaaa pegi link di bawah ni... My aunty (juga geng bikers aku!) does a better job in blogging our event...

Sad news about a friend

Last Sunday night. I hangout with a friend and his family. We haven't hangout with them for such a very long time, I think more than a year. It was really good to meet up and catch up with each other....

Among other things, I was updated with the story of my other friend, in the same circle of group, that her husband has 'opened another branch'. It really hurt me cause this is like a few cases in a period of 1-2 years and happened to my good friends. I mean, usually I only heard it happen to people out there, but when it happen in front of my eyes, it has gotten me very scared and sad...

Poligamy, such a sacred word for the men but a painful word for women. No matter what people say or the teaching of Islam says that women who accept poligamy will be given such great reward and redemption, I can't seem to accept it. I know it is wrong as we should accept it as a thing Allah permits, but I just simply can't. It's just too hurtful. How much a guy can't share their women same goes to women. I don't deny the fact that it is something yang besar pahalanya. Payung emas bak kata orang. Itu belum lagi kes-kes curang, main kayu tiga, menipu isteri tua, etc. etc. etc.

I may not really know how it feels to be sharing my husband but thinking about it is painful enough. To my friends who are unfortunate (or is it fortunate?), I pray for their ultimate happiness. Semoga Allah memberkati kalian...

Terasa keinsafan...

Tonight on the National Geographic channel, they aired the compilation of amateur video clippings of the Japan 2011 Earthquake/Tsunami disaster, starting with the 6 minute quake to the after shocks to the tsunami to the day after the tsunami, in rememberance of the disaster that happenned almost a year ago...

I still remember that day...

11 March 2011, about 4pm:
My colleagues and I were in Pangkor, having our Offsite Annual Dinner cum team building event. After the treasure hunt, we had a couple of hour to rest in our rooms before the dinner. My roomate and I were lazing in our room while watching the telly. Somehow we put on the news channel. As we watched the disaster happening right before our eyes, we were also quite worried about being on the island. I was about to take the next ferry back to Lumut and grab whatever transportation I could get, to get back to KL. But after calling here and there, searching the net on tsunami warnings for our country and got the latest update from the news, we just carried on our stay there.

That night we couldn't really sleep peacefully and left the telly on so that we could get the latest updates as soon as we open our eyes.

Now, watching that documentary really makes me wonder and think back about my life. The quake was only 6 minutes, what about doomsday?

O God Almighty, aku mohon keampunan di atas segala dosa-dosaku...

I feel so small...

Rombongan Cik Xena

23rd - 28th February 2012

Rombongan Cik Xena kali ini ke Semarang. Ni semua gara-gara route baru AirAsia la ni...

Keluarga my other half berasal dari Semarang. My in-laws came to Malaysia in 1962. They still have siblings in Semarang. So Roohii still have many relatives there. We visit them like every 2-3 years. Since I married his family, I have been there maybe around 6 times.

It's kindda nice to have relatives from a different country. We get to know other way of life and thinking. Malaysia dan Indonesia serumpun tapi sangat berbeda!

Apa yang best di sana? Well, food is cheap and nice. But not as many variety like Malaysia. Their food biasalah the penyets, the bakars, the tempe and the tauhu (soya bean based food). Their sambal terasi, walla! Sedap ....

Shopping ok la, but honestly Thailand is a better place to shop. I don't really fancy batik so my shopping were around factory outlets. Sang Lembut got herself 2 pairs of Miss Sixty jeans. Sang Cerdik got 2 pieces of Angry Bird t-shirts. Roohii got his working shirts and I got 2 pair of Kickers! Not that many? Ok, ok, there were other things as well... What to do, I'm a shopperholic!

Family in Semarang took good care of us, and their hospitality were superb! Thank you so much Dek Ariep, Dek Debby, Nabila dan Kia for having us at your beautiful home for 5 nights. Thanks also to Pak Sabar being our supir and Mbak Som for helping taking care of our laundry.

As usual it was a memorable trip... Looking forward for our next visit there... But I believe they have to visit us first before our next trip there ;)

Here are some photos to share...

Here we go again...

We have not even got it, but 'it' has already started...

Sometimes I just don't know how to handle this matter. When we don't allow or don't support, we are being controlling. But when we let them loose, they just don't know how to balance things.

A part of my heart says it's ok cause happiness is my highest priority. But a part of my heart is getting worried that the cycle will repeat itself. I can see it happening, happening real soon..

How do I convey the message of my uneasyness without having getting into a strained situation? I just don't know how. So the best solution is to just swallow and put aside how I feel and concentrate on the hapiness of others.

Good luck Xena... May Allah give you the strength... You go girl!

Here we go again...

My favourite place to hangout...

This is my favourite part of my house....
This is where I get to be by myself, enjoying my favourite channels; TLC, AFC, Discovery Home and Health, Diva, StarWorld dan seangkatan dengannya....
This is where I'd be first thing in the morning during weekends, making myself a cup of Gold Blend while watching Cake Boss making his great looking cakes, with the rest still sleeping...
This is where I prepare food for my family....
This is where we have our meals while watching the news....
This is we talk about how our day was and whining about how hard life can be....
This is where I'd be scrubbing when I'm upset that I feel like cleaning the house...
I just love this part of the house...

Coretan di bulan February 2012

Dah lama sungguh tak blogging kan? Padahal kat HP ada application Blog tapi still malas nak update blog at a regular basis kan...

Last coretan 17 Dec 2011, so let me try to remember as much as possible what happened from then till now:

Christmas weekend - geng GBB pegi ke hatyai. 5 motor, 2 malam di hatyai. Apa kami buat kat sana? Hmmm ada yg urut kaki, ada yg urut badan, ada yg buat facial, ada yg buat pedi/mani, ada yg cuci telinga! Makan usah cakap, asyik melantak jer. Tapi conclusion nya memang amat seronok! Lagu tema tuk trip kali ni ialah HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Kekekeke. On the way balik, kami singgah ke rumah parents Laling. Mak dia jamu kami makan tengahari. Yummylicious! Sambal tumis ikan bolis petai dia world class! Terima kasih tuan rumah...

New Year 2012 - anak-anak sibuk masuk sekolah. Sang Lembut masuk sekolah menengah, and we decided to send her to public school. At first she was not very happy but she adjusted well after 1 week. I think she loves it there already!

19 January - got my increment letter, and was quite happy with it. Alhamdulillah...

21 January - birthday my other half. We sort of celebrated it at my aunt's. Actually, diorang buat makan-makan, invited us and other family members. So kira celebrate la. We ate like there is no tomorrow!

23-24 January - CNY, did nothing, stayed home... Total relaxation, heaven!

28 January - my cousin got married today. He got married to a Japanese. I had to be the translator for the bride as the nikah ceremony was done in Bahasa Melayu and she don't understands Bahasa Melayu. It was rather interesting to see 2 different cultures merge into 1. I wish all the best to the newly wed couple!

30 January - Black Hawk got hit at the bum! Huhuhu my poor car...

1 Feb - FT day but I had to work, cause my office is in Selangor... Huhuhu... Still upset from yesterday's incident. My girlfriends went for treat in a spa nearby my office so I went to join them for lunch. Really envy them! But it was a nice place. The spa's name is Nadalama Spa. I may want to try the Cream Bath (errr this is not a bath but more for the hair, creambath for the hair!)

4 February - another long weekend. Cuti Maulidurrasul diikuti dengan cuti Thaipusam. Went to do a body treatment at a place called The Prime Asian Facial And Spa, but it wasn't that great. I still like Jemari Spa in Danau Kota. Hmmm should I sign up for their body treatment package???

5 February - masak nasi ayam dan bersantai di rumah saja. Managed to clear the outstanding task of settling the laundry which is such a drag! I just realised that my dvd player in the room has a USB port so I now can watch my downloaded series on the big screen. Selama ni dok tgk kat laptop je, jenuh straining my eyes. Now... Wooo weee clear giler!

Ok la, cukup la buat masa ni... Nak sambung Ghost Whisperer ni ha...

CNY 2012 Dinner

2 February 2012, Thursday

Our sports club organised the CNY Lo Sang Dinner at KLGCC. I looooove yee sang so would not want to miss it.

The food was not so bad...

The best part was that we got ang pows. And the bestest part, I got 2! My big boss accudently gave me 2 red packets, rezeki tu!

We sort of we 'forced' to stay until dessert to wait for the lucky draw. And unexpectedly, I got the 2nd prize. Normally I am never lucky during lucky draws... But I guess my luck is changing with the year of Dragon???

Anyway, it was a terrible week that week. My black hawk got hit from behind, and my other half was caught up in a 3-day meeting that I had to handle the matter all by myself... Looking at the bright side, I now know what to do if such things happen. I now know where PJ state police station is, I now know how to get to Kurnia's HQ, I now know that Kurnia sucks, I now know that it was difficult handling things all by yourself...

Dah tua dah aku ni....

Pegi Berjaya Times Square dgn Wancu dan anak-anak. Dulu masa anak kecik-kecik tak leh nak naik rides sebab tak de teman. Now Sang Lembut dah cukup haul tuk naik rides, kita pulak yg naik takut nak naik roller coaster....

Bila dipikirkan balik napa ya? Dulu masa time belajar kat Uk naik roller coaster kat Alton Tower's tak de masalah pun... Naik banyak kali pun ok. Dulu semua ride nak cuba without fear. Tapi sekarang, mcm phobia!

Tadi first ride naik yg tinggi pusing2 dgn kaki tergantung tu (lupa namanya!)... MasyaAllah... Takutnya... Takutnya rasa tergantung tinggi jauh nun di sana... Tak berani nak tengok bawah...

Then cuba naik Dizzi Izzi... Itupun seriau... Sang Lembut ajak naik Supersonic Odyssey tapi tak berani. Wancu gak yg berani. Aku melayan budak-budak kecik. Naik Crazy Bus pun rasa challenging!!!

I suppose I'm getting older now... I feel like a grandmother! Naik Dizzi Izzi dgn my doter rasanya dia lebih gelakkan maknya dari gelak from the adrenaline rush...

Oh well....

What a weekend....

It was a loooooong weekend... Not duration but rather activity wise! Kalau org putih cakap 'Value for Money' sebab setiap minit digunakan sepenuhnya...

This week jugak minggu semua plan tak menjadi. Orang kata, tak semua plan kita akan menjadi so terimalah dengan redha. Tapi ni dah mcm semua tak menjadi so hati agak sayu la jugak. Semua datang serentak mana boleh tahan... Huhuhu...

At the end of the day I realised that my BFF is myself. I am my best friend who will do everything and anything with and for me. I keep forgetting that... and expect others to be my BFF... When will I learn?

I'm tired of planning and will take it one day at a time (yeah right! I have already planned as to what I am going to do this Saturday!)... I'm gonna make sure my plan materialised... Fitness First, here I come!!!

It's hard when you are Type A personality... But nevertheless I'm trying my best to blend some 'Bs' in my personality to balance up... O God Almighty, please help me!

Hope I'll have a better week this week...

Happy 15th Aniversary to us!

Today is my 15th Wedding Aniversary...

So many good things that I have collected throughout the years, not to mention those downsides...
The ups and downs...
The knowing each other...
The blending in each family culture...
The sacrifises...
The tolerating and giving in...
The happy times...
The romance...
The adventure...
The craziness...

I may have mention regrets before but those are thoughts of devil... Honestly, no regrets as this was my decision and once made, there should not be any turning back.

To my beloved husband, best friend, advisor, consultant, hero, shoulder to cry on, thanks for the lovely years and I look forward of many-many years with you. I seek your loyalty towards this marriage and please never ever betray the wonderful marriage we have built...

I will try my best to do my part as well...

I love you and may Allah bless us and our family always.

OCD?

I always choose even numbers when need to make decisions...

How many sachet of antireflux medication to bring? I would bring 4...

Volume of the radio in the car? 8, 10 or 12...

How many pieces of chicken to fry? 4 or 6...

How many eggs to make an omelette? Normally 4...

Is this an indication of me having OCD???

My biking adventure: a traumatic experience!

Sunday 13th November 2011, a day I will never forget...

It was suppose to be a fun and enjoyable ride to Cameron Highlands via Bentong, Raub, Sg. Koyan then back to KL via Simpang Pulai. But it turned out horribly wrong...

We gathered at BHP pump station after the Gombak Toll. I was kindda excited because this is another biking group we were joining and the thought of meeting new friends, new gang, really made me excited. There were about 14 bikes, a mixture of various type of big bikes. I noticed this lady biker, I think she was the only lady biker, with her red shoes and bubbly character.

We took off about 9:10am, with a slow start, so slow that I was actually grumbling to myself 'BILA NAK SAMPAI NIH!'. We stopped for a while at Dataran Bentong, just to gather the group as we split into a few groups. We continued our journey and I must say it was rather interesting going through the inner roads, enjoying the greenary and the village view. We were not that fast, going at about 80-90kph. As we passed by Raub approaching Sg. Koyan, I noticed that the lady biker on Versys who was 2 bikes ahead of us suddenly went onto the shoulder of the road, on the grass. I was like 'what is she trying to prove?'.

She didn't slow down which until now made me wonder why she didn't do so, but maybe because she was trying to get back onto the road. I then saw water splashing and right after that somehow she lost control and bang! she flipped and tumbled! I was like 'Ya Allah!!!'.....

We were the first to reach her and I was already crying hysterically, as I was not sure if she was alive or not. I guess she had tumbled about 50 metres from where she hit the water which later I discovered it was a big hole filled with water.

My other half went to her and she was not moving, not moving at all! After a few minutes my husband told me that she was still alive. I wasn't strong enough to take a look at her. I went further back, and back, crying and praying that she would be ok.

By then the other bikers arrived. At first they didn't want to move her but we had no choice. She landed on 'sarang kerengga' and she got 'kerengga' all over her body. She also had a cut on her forehead and blood was coming out profusely. So, they moved her to the roadside, put her into recovery position and calmed her down. The police came and she was sent to the nearest hospital, Hospital Kuala Lipis. We took care of her bike with the help of the village people and we gathered at the police station.

We then adjourned to Hospital Kuala Lipis and we reached there about 12:30pm. She was consious and responded when being called, which made us quite relieved. As she had a big cut on her forehead and Hospital Kuala Lipis not have a CT scan, she had to be sent to Hospital Temerloh. While the doctors were trying to stablised her, we were being told some bad news, her BP dropped and dropped. A drop in BP indicates internal bleeding! I started to get worried as I know the danger of internal bleeding after accidents. Apparently she had ruptured her liver....

As she was sent to Hospital Temerloh on the ambulance, all of us followed suit. We reached Temerloh about 6.50pm. By that time she was being prepared for a surgery to remove the blood and to patch her liver (i guess). As her parents have also arrived from KL, we all decided that we would now be able to go to back to KL after the long and traumatic day.

As of now, she is still in ICU and been put on a life support machine. She had underwent a 2nd operation to fix her liver. My doa is for her full recovery. May Allah protect her and give her the strength to recover, Amin!

Since that day, I have yet to recover emotionally. When I am alone, not doing anything, my mind will be thinking about her and the image of her falling keep on playing back again and again.

Mas, be strong as I know you are one hell of a strong lady! Semoga Allah melindungimu, Masilla Ponijan...

At the low side...

Sad and depressed...
Feel like nobody understands me...
The hurt inside, the need of tender loving care...
Been providing TLC to the loved ones but when I need some, who will provide it to me?
I feel alone...
I guess in life it is like that, nobody to care about your feelings but yourself...
Heal yourself... Just take your time...

Should I or should I not?

Last Wednesday, Deepavali day, GBB did the discovery scuba at a pool located in Cheras. It was awesome!

My other half who has phobia of being drowning also managed to passed the mini course, which made me really-really pround of him.

My daughter had no problems at all and it did surprise me a bit as I never expected her to be able to do it after she saw my panic episode.

Now the question running around my head is that should I persue to take up the course for the diving license???

Hmmmm so tempted!!!

2 x 4 hour classroom
1 written exam (MCQ)
2 x 4 hour pool session
3D2N in the island for open sea test
That's all what's needed....

Should I or should I not????

I have to be strong...
I won't feel guilty...

Ignore those guilty feeling...
Just do what you think is right for you, for once...
If they love you, they will accept you as you are...
If they love you, they will be happy for you...

Indeed a stressful day today...

A few things that add up to my stress level today:-

1. Blocked nose - both my nostril are blocked due to this cold I'm having now. Breathing thru my mouth and I feel like my O2 level in the blood is low.. Suffocating!!!

2. Failure in submitting an online submission - been trying to submit an application since last week. Contacted the helpdesk which was not very much of a help. Hopeless helpdesk!!! I finally found out the problem and it was the officer from a unit unrelated to the system developer who explained the root cause of the problem! Sad la you people....

3. System error for the online system was due to my IE version that is lower version than recommended. I need IE8 but our office uses IE7. Apparently we are not allowed to upgrade to IE8. Then how???

4. People asking stupid questions to me - I'm like... Errr duhhhh

5. Can't join my Bodystep class - as I'm not well, I didn't want to stress out physical body. I want to recover fast!

6. Rained heavily in the evening hence the traffic is horrandous!

7. My nose is still blocked!!!

I hope tomorrow would be better...
